Upside down French Plait

Start by flipping your hair and giving it a brush.
I've applied a hair oil as well to keep the hair nice and smooth but you could spritz with water instead.
Using your fingers take the top section and separate it from the rest of your hair.
Split into 3 pieces & start the plait as normal (crossing over the pieces into the center).

As the plait goes lower, pick up large sections and carry on plaiting.
carry this on down your head, adding pieces as you go.
I pick up a piece every time and use large chunks to make it scruffy.

You can use smaller pieces to make it neater and more uniformed.

Once you reach the end of your head just carry on plaiting the hair and then secure with a thin band.
This is the bit where you look silly! Now twist the front so it sits nicely on your head and clip to the side.

Clip any strays to make it as neat as you want. I leave mine for a scruffy look :)

Ta-Da!

  9. I cut my hair (semi) short about a month ago and usually am really happy with it, and then a tutorial like this comes along and makes me wish I had long hair again. (damn you in the nicest possible way!) Really great tutorial, it's getting bookmarked for when my hair is long enough again!
