Winter Interior Trends

Just this weekend we decided to wash the cushion covers, the throws and have a re arrange of our decorations and bits and bobs. The brightly coloured cushions are gone, the cacti moved to the hallway and in their place you will find faux fur cushions, cotton on the mantle and much more muted cosy colour palette. So I thought it was a nice time, having received multiple gift guides and catalogues in the post recently to pick out my favourite trends.

Grey and muted colours.
This is perfect for us as we have grey sofas, curtains and rug in our living room. I love grey as a neutral. Its the perfect alternative to beige or to black and obviously you can pick dark or light and accent it with a pop of colour.

Warm metals.
The perfect accent to the grey. We have copper picture frames, lanterns and other bits and pieces around the house and it really adds a stylish edge to any home. Plus its super on trend with bloggers and for blog photos recently too.

Cacti and succulents.
Throwing in another blogger cliche our green little friends don't seem to be going anywhere soon. We have move ours to the hall way for now but I love nothing more then my spikey friends which are just so so easy to look after and a great way to add some outside inside this winter.
