So it wasn't that long ago I wrote my Empties Vol 3 post. I just had so many products I couldn't put them all in one post. So heres the second one before I move in a matter of weeks, because what better time to have a clear out!
This post focuses on Make Up and Skincare. Make Up wise I'm a creature of habit and love using the same products over and over. The problem with that is I end up with lots of products which I try for a week or so and then never really use again. I've been making it my mission to use up/throw out as much as possible. The Revlon Colour Stay foundation is an all time favourite though. I really love this and have a new bottle which I've just opened already. It stays all day, great coverage but not too thick. The Urban Decay Naked Concealer (which does have a longer name but my fingers hurt already) is my favourite for under eyes. Read my full review here. I also love the Paul & Joe Moisturising Foundation Primer but this is also sadly gone from my life. I might repurchase soon, once I've used up a few other things. The most disappointing of the category is probably the Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream. I used this up to go to the gym and frankly will not be getting it again. It was drying, not a great colour and not great coverage even for a BB cream.
Skincare wise I've used up a lot of strong favourites recently too. The Clarins Toning Lotion with Camomile, Alpha H Liquid Gold & Origins GinZing Moisturizer are all products I've purchased multiple times and currently have new ones off in use since these ran out. To remove make up I've been loving using the Garnier Express 2 in 1 Eye Make-Up remover. I've really embraced stronger eye make up this Winter and its been a life saver to gently remove it and then cleanse my whole face with something more gentle than a hot cloth cleanser. The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter was my choice for a while. I've not repurchased this though as I did find it struggled with removing another other than face make up. Lip and eye make up is stubborn but this is better for a second cleanse or when you've used a make up removed to do all the hard work. Finally the last product I'll be throwing out is the Origins Original Skin Renewal Serum. I love Origins as a brand and their serums are normally really hydrating and lovely to put on but this was a little too thick, a little mattifying and just not my ideal choice. I think I'll be going back to a old tried and tested favourite.
