For years I've been a loyal user of the Clarins Toning Lotion for Dry/Normal Skin and never really ventured away for it until I was bought a Liz Earl gift set which in my birthday haul video. This set included the Liz Earl Instant Boost Skin Tonic. I've been using the tonic ever since practically every morning as a prep strep between cleansing and moisturiser. I dont use toners as a cleansing step. I prefer to use them to prepare the skin for layers of moisture either before make up or once I've take it off for the day.
The Instant Boost Skin Tonic is a clear liquid, so no point in taking a product shot but comes in the classic pale blue Liz Earl colour bottle. I do love the twist top which makes it quick and easy to open and close which out having to screw off a lid. The small opening means that there no chance of using too much as well. Always a bonus. Apply the liquid to a cotton pad and wipe face, simple.
At £14.50 for 200ml this works out at 7.25p per ml compared to 6.97p per ml for the Clarings Toning Lotions. So its good value, about the same as my usual favourite so its probably down to personal preference.
I find the Instant Boost Tonic is more refreshing than other toners I've tried including my usual fave from Clarins. You can really feel the Aloe Vera, Camomile & Vitamin E in the formula. I love this product but I'm not 100% certain it will replacing my all time favourite.
