My Skincare Routine Spring 2018

For some reason when I was writing down blog post ideas every time I wrote skincare I wrote skincake. This brought me endless joy so I wanted to share. Here's my current skincare routine, minus cleansing cause I use different ones every day. These stay the same, for now. For reference I have dehydrated skin and I get the odd break out around my period etc.

After cleansing I exfoliate use The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7%. This is an upgrade for me from the Pixi Glow tonic which is 5%. The Ordinary one is more tingly although that has settled down and its cheaper than the Pixi one. It's early days but so far, so good.

I then use a few treatments depending on what my skin needs. I use the Kiehls Daily Reviving Concentrate oil with a few drops of The Ordinary Hyaluronic acid to moisturise and then the Glossier Super Pure to help with and redness and spots if needed.

I then moisturise. I tend to switch between the Kiehls Ultra Facial Moisturiser and the Glossier Priming Moisturiser Rich. I prefer the Glossier one but I am trying to be good and use things up. On my eyes I use the Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment because I have really hollow dark circles under my eyes and this helps concealer to sit better.

After make up removal and cleansing I start with the Liz Earl Instant Boost Tonic or the L'oreal Fine Flowers Toner.

On my eyes I use The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5%. I then mix a little face oil, I'm using the Body Shop Oils of Life at the moment, mixed with some of The Ordinary Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F and The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane.

No moisturiser before bed you ask? Well some times but not all the time. Maybe only once a week or less. I just find I don't really need it or that I get more black heads when I do. I find my treatments leave my skin hydrated, plumper etc every morning without it and I'll all about economy when it comes to skincare and budgets.

So there it is, my entire skincare routine AM & PM. What products do you use? Or can you recommend anything similar but better for me? I'm on the look out for new mask as I've been using the same for a while. I didn't include them here but I have a Skincare Where to Spend & Where to save post coming next week which includes the masks I'm currently using.
